Steel product stocks were increased in mid-August

According to the statistics of CISA, the daily output of crude steel was 1.9934Mt in major steel enterprises in mid-August, down by 0.50% compared with that in the previous ten days. The total output of crude steel, pig iron, and steel products were 19.9337Mt, 18.2307Mt, and 18.7876Mt respectively.

By estimation, the daily output of crude steel in the whole country was 26.919Mt in the period, down by 0.33% compared with that in the same period of the previous year. During mid-August, the daily output of pig iron and steel products were approximately 22.828Mt, 38.753Mt respectively in the whole country.

The stocks of steel products in these steel enterprises amounted to 16.4539Mt in mid-August, up by 0.5534Mt.
